Candle 101
If you notice your candle is putting
off black suet, the wick is too long. Extinguish the candle, pinch
the wick shorter and relight. You may have to do this more than once
as some scents require a shorter wick.
If your candle has a heart star or other type of imbed, you need to
be aware that the imbed is not scented and the candle will not start
to smell until the imbed has burned off.
When burning your candle, make sure
the wax pool has melted out to the side of the jar before
extinguishing for the day. If the melt pool does not reach the edge
of the jar your candle will develop a memory wanting to burn down
the middle when lit in the future, not utilizing all of the wax.
Fragrance will dissipate in candles
placed on warmers; you will still have a jar of wax, however the
heat of the warmer will have dissipated the scent.
